Rain in the afternoon and evening brought a chorus of frogs all night long. Rain fell this morning also. The air is cool. Sunday is the day once celebrated the honor of Maia, the Goddess of death and fertility. All of May was once celebrated for it's fertility. So Dance the May Pole. Give a May Day Basket of flowers to someone special. Enjoy the day and appreciate the cycle of all life.

Full Moon of April
I was actually up when the Moon of April became full. Why, I am not sure. One thing led to another and before I knew it, it was in the wee hours of the morning. I do like these hours. Cool, quiet and lit by the iridescence of the Moon.
The white moons are paper mache with seeds added to the back. The larger icons also have seeds added. I have made goddesses; larger moons, hands of Fatima; fairy wings; and a Green Tara (healing garden). The tiny blue moons are paper mache tinted with blue food coloring. There are also terra cotta moons. I added henna designs on the tiny pieces of sea glass I have collected and added various beads and star sequins to give the mix a moonlight quality.
So, with seed mix in hand, by the light of the Full Moon of April,
I headed down the moon lighted pathway. A pair of screech owls called to each other among the pine branches along the path.
Here is a couple of pictures of how I put it together in a bundle and in a tiny terra cotta pot to send to my niece Emelia and her children, and to my sister, Megan. I am hoping that they will "test run" the planting of a Wild Flower Full Moon Garden along with me.
I couldn't resist showing the seed mix with my gardenias. I have a tree that is almost 30 years old and came to live here Under the Florida Maples from an apartment we used to live in. But that's another story....
Well, I wanted to plant my own Wild Flower Full Moon Garden. So I made my own Full Moon Wild Flower Seed Mix.

I came to a terra cotta pot already prepared.
I sprinkled my Full Moon Wild Flower Seed Mix over the soil, covered with about 1/8 inch of soil and watered.
I can't wait to see what flowers will come alive to reach for the light of Moon.
With some experimenting, I hope to have these little seed mixes available for purchase on Etsy. I think they would make great gifts!
Peace.

Star Rising in the Early Morning
I held the Sun in my hand this morning. The Star was light and boyount; a cool North East breeze blew onshore. The sand is still cool underfoot in the early morning. Not yet Summer, still Spring, there is a need to gather together to keep each other warm.
With Sun in hand I welcome the days of warmth; swimming in the Ocean; falling asleep under the umbrella as the Sandpipers call out...
First the pastel sky; from dark to light.
Then, all of a sudden, the pastel colors intensify and the Star begins to show it's true warming nature.
One last sight, it seems to be the House of the Rising Sun.
Peace.
